Beats Electronics Backing Muscle Shoals Upgrades

"Jimmy Iovine and Luke Wood were so moved by the "Muscle Shoals" documentary, they're putting up money to make sure the unique spirit of the Alabama music haven lives on.
The Beats Electronics officials are starting a program to refurbish and upgrade two historic studios in Muscle Shoals - FAME Recording Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio - then will install education programs to train a new generation of producers, audio engineers and musicians."

"One day earlier this month, Jim Vidmar bought 1,000 fake Twitter accounts for $58 from an online vendor in Pakistan. He then programmed the accounts to "follow" the Twitter account of rapper Dave Murrell, who calls himself Fyrare and pays Mr. Vidmar to boost his standing on the social network."

‘108 Rock Star Guitars’ reveals battle-ax beauty

The supersized book “108 Rock Star Guitars” (Glitterati Inc.) demonstrates that six-stringed instruments owned by celebrities and virtuoso sidemen can look as good as they rock. The 17-year undertaking by photographer Lisa S. Johnson partly benefits the Les Paul Foundation. Paul, the Rock Hall musician-inventor, wrote the foreword before he died."
Monument is calling it quits as a band, due to guitarist Anton Kropp moving to the west coast. Their final show will be on Jan. 5th at The Lab in Alexandria, VA.
